INESC TEC supports the mission of Portuguese automotive companies at PSA Peugeot - Citröen
INESC TEC, through its Centre for Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship (CITE), which is responsible for the internal coordination of the Enterprise Europe Network, supported the participation of a group of Portuguese companies from the automobile industry, on 17 March, in an Info Day organised by the PSA Peugeot - Citröen unit in Trnava, Slovakia, together with the Slovak Business Agency and the French-Slovak Chamber of Commerce.

INESC TEC researcher joins Association of European Science and Technology Transfer Professionals
Catarina Maia, head of INESC TEC’s Technology Licensing Office (SAL) and researcher at the Centre for Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship (CITE), was invited to join the Professional Development Committee of the Association of European Science and Technology Transfer Professionals, or ASTP-Proton, the European association of professionals working in the field of knowledge transfer between universities and industry.

The 2015 Manufuture (B2B Brokerage Event of the Enterprise Europe Network) is co-organised by INESC TEC, partner of the Network, and will take place between 23 and 24 November in Luxemburg. Registrations (free of charge) are open until 20 November.
Paper by INESC TEC researchers is mandatory reading at MIT
João Claro, researcher at the Centre for Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship (CITE) and member of the Board of INESC TEC, and Abílio Pacheco, also researcher at CITE, are co-authors of the paper “Forest fire management to avoid unintended consequences: A case study of Portugal using system Dynamics”, which is, since 2013, mandatory reading in the subject “Introduction to System Dynamics”, at Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
INESC TEC researcher is finalist in the Academy of Management Heizer Doctoral Dissertation Award
Sérgio Costa, researcher at INESC TEC’s Centre for Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship (CITE), is one of three finalists of the Academy of Management 2015 Entrepreneurship Division Heizer Doctoral Dissertation Award, whose goal is to award PhD theses of excellence in the fields of entrepreneurship and management.
Project for efficient forest fire management comes to an end
The project FIRE-ENGINE, developed by INESC TEC’s Centre for Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship (CITE), has come to an end with a public presentation of results at the Biblioteca Municipal de Valongo, on 6 May. The event was attended by the INESC TEC researchers who participated in project FIRE-ENGINE, João Claro and Abílio Pereira Pacheco.

INESC TEC’s Centre for Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship (CITE) organised a workshop on technology exploration, which took place on 27 March, in Bristol. This workshop was part of a COST Action in which INESC TEC’s Centre for Telecommunications and Multimedia is involved (CTM).

INESC TEC is member of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) consortium, which is organising four matchmaking events as part of the international Expo Milano 2015, starting on 1 May. INESC TEC, represented in this network by the Centre for Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship (CITE), has been supporting the event’s dissemination through its network of contacts and communication channels.
