INESC TEC concludes project Senseiver with presentation of results in Serbia

After four years, project “Senseiver: Low-cost and energy-efficient LTCC sensor/IR-UWB transceiver solutions for sustainable healthy environment” was concluded in November 2015. The INESC TEC team working on this project was composed of members of the Centres for Telecommunications and Multimedia (CTM) and Robotics and Intelligent Systems (CROB). The final conference of this project was the greatest event of the Senseiver, which took place in the first week of October, in Novi-Sad, Serbia, where the INESC TEC presented the results obtained throughout the project.

Vítor Grade Tavares

The Senseiver falls within the “Marie Curie Initial Training Network” action, promoted by the 7th EU Framework Programme. The fundamental goal with this action is to provide a rich and diverse research environment, giving researchers the opportunity to conduct a series of research activities in the area of sensors, as well as to design efficient wireless communication systems for environmental monitoring applications.

The INESC TEC team, led by Vítor Grade Tavares, researcher at CTM, was directly involved in the development of radio-frequency circuits (RF) for wireless communications However, the design of broadband antennas has also been proposed, with substrates such as low temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC).

The researcher mentioned in this news piece is associated with UP-FEUP.
