Public presentation of the CEC-Made-Shoe project

The strategy of the CEC-Made-Shoe Integrated Project (IP) is to develop radical innovations that will constitute, over the next years, fundamental instruments to increase the competitiveness in European SMEs working in the footwear sector. The intention is to reach the predicted 10% of the world’s production by the year 2010.
The project’s aim is to develop new manufacturing processes, new natural materials, an updated relationship between supply and demand, as well as the electronic integration of the value chain, thus enabling the use of nanotechnologies and intelligent materials.
