Collaborative business networks make a strong interdisciplinary research area that covers components such as supply chain management, Virtual Organisations, Collaborative Networks and approaches complex problems in design and management. Our team at the Centre for Enterprise Systems Engineering (CESE) work hard on a range of multidisciplinary research topics which are characterised by “build to order” strategies in the production of complex products.
For 15 years, we at CESE have been developing our competencies and know how in areas that range from models for collaborative business networks, support for network life cycle management, management of dynamic capacities, coordination and planning in dynamic networks, decision support systems, heuristic optimisation of objectives and technical and semantic interoperability.
