Market needs and expectations require a rapidly evolving production framework. The current challenge in manufacturing engineering consists of an innovative integration of the product, process and factory worlds and related data, aiming at synchronising their lifecycles. A holistic, integrated, adaptive and scalable Virtual representation of the Factory can enable this synchronisation, promoting cost savings in the implementation of new manufacturing facilities or reconfiguration of existing ones, thanks to the effective virtual representation of buildings, resources, process and products.
As part of this meeting, VFF partners will show applications to solve real industrial cases. During the event, participants will have privileged access to VFF results. Demos from different Industrial sectors will also be presented. Participation is free of charge, but registration is required. Registrations here.
The Virtual Factory Framework is a Collaborative Research Project funded by the European Commission under the 7th Framework-Programme.
