INESC TEC researcher co-edits scientific journal on Operational Research
José Fernando Oliveira, a researcher at INESC TEC’s Centre for Industrial Engineering and Management (CEGI), will be one of five co-editors of the European Journal of Operational Research (EJOR) that includes scientific papers on Operational Research.
The researcher, who works in Operational Research and Quantitative Methods applied to Management, will take up his duties in January 2015, for a period of three years. He will be the only Portuguese coeditor in the team.
The EJOR is one of the most prestigious European journals in its area. The journal publishes about six thousand pages per year, receiving around three thousand paper submissions annually. In 2013, the journal was downloaded over 2 million and 230 thousand times.
