Live Neurotransmitter Vesicle Movement Dynamics in Living Neurons
The axonal transport of vesicles differs when cells are in healthy or disease state, and can be correlated to some human neurodegenerative conditions, such as Alzheimer's, Huntington's and Parkinson's.
The manual characterization of the vesicle's movement faces many problems (subjectivity, errors in the analysis, time consuming and tedious task) and can take months to analyze one long video.
With a semi-automatic approach like NeuronDyn, the specialists can control the operation by training the algorithm that will adapt the detection and tracking to the points marked and parameters selected, saving time and maintaing high accurate results, that will be written to an excel sheet.
