INESC TEC participates in workshop with US government
The President of INESC TEC, José Manuel Mendonça, was guest speaker at a workshop organised by the US Department of Commerce and the University of Algarve (UAlg). The advanced training workshop in the area of technology transfer, titled “Fostering an Entrepreneurship and Innovation Ecosystem in Tunisia through the Effective Use of Technology Transfer Office”, took place between 1 and 5 June.
The University of Algarve, through CRIA – Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer Division, was the partner chosen by the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP), a division of the United States Government, to promote this workshop.
The event was also attended by the people in charge of the US Department of
Commerce, the vice-director of the Cambridge Enterprise Ltd. at University of
Cambridge, the marketing director at EDP, members of the University of Algarve,
Centre of Marine Sciences (CCMAR), Instituto Superior Técnico, University of
Beira Interior, Centre for Social Studies at University of Coimbra, and the
companies Sparos, Necton, and Itelmatis.
