ERIMA’08 - European Symposium on Innovative Management Practices
The city of Porto will host ERIMA’08 - European Symposium on Innovative Management Practices, which will take place on 6 and 7 November at the Hotel Porto Palácio. Jorge Pinho de Sousa, coordinator from the Manufacturing Systems Engineering Unit (UESP) of INESC Porto, together with Jéremy Legardeur of ESTIA – École d’Ingenieurs, will be the chairmen of this event dedicated to Innovation and Business Management.

Innovation at the levels of Organisation, People, Technology and Society are the four themes that will be discussed during the two-day conference. ERIMA’08 aims at gathering Industrial Companies, Universities and Research Centres, as well as Practitioners/Self-employed people, Researchers, Advisers and members of the European Commission that are currently investing in innovative activities in the management domain. The meeting will promote the sharing of knowledge, experiences and opinions.
ERIMA - European Research in Innovation and Management Alliance, from which INESC Porto is partner, aims at the establishment of a “European Network of Excellence” that includes the Universities and the Research Centres that play an active role in this area, thus promoting new theories, methodologies and techniques related to Innovation and Management.
