The present invention fits within the framework of instrumentation and materials. It describes the crystallisation of films using conductor films as resistive heating elements.

The process consists of a structure that uses a source of electricity, a conductor film, a contact wire, a thermocouple, a multimeter and a computer with a programme based on an algorithm that controls the electric current, in accordance with the temperature, to control the crystallisation process.

The results obtained show that the proposed process is simple, economical and flexible. It allows for the employment of thermal treatment in films and can precisely control the temperature and the heating and cooling rates as it is based on an algorithm of proportional control.

The most innovative aspect of this invention is that it uses a controlled electric current in conductor films to heat other films laid over them.
